About a month or two ago I got an invitation in the mail to participate in the 41st Annual Art Auction at the WaterWorks Art Museum in Miles City, MT. I decided that I would submit a fairly large panorama that I shot on the prairie of Southeast Montana. The panorama consists of 22 images on aluminum and is 16"x64". I named it "Rolling Across The Prairie" since I literally watched this spring storm roll over Forsyth(my home town) as seen in this set of images. From where I was standing at the time of the exposure, I was almost exactly 21 miles from town.
Since I submitted this panorama, I was pleased to hear last week that it won 1st Place Peoples Choice Award. Out of 114 pieces submitted by 74 artists from across the country, I am pretty proud to have achieved such a thing.
If you would like to see this panorama or other beautiful pieces of art in the auction, you can visit the WaterWorks Art Museum at 85 Water Plant Rd. Miles City, MT. 59301. Everything will be displayed until September 24th, the night of the auction.
